ROSA Governance Committees

ROSA has a governance structure that includes a Steering Committee and four sub-committees: the Executive Committee, the Research Committee, the Data Linkage/Analytics Committee and the Consumer and Community Committee. Each Committee meets quarterly.

Steering Committee

The ROSA Steering Committee has a membership comprising representative members from each of the 13 Healthy Ageing Research Consortium partner organisations.

Purpose: Overall direction and strategy for ROSA.

Current members: Professor Steve Wesselingh (Chair; SAHMRI and the South Australian Academic Health Science and Translation Centre), Associate Professor Caroline Miller (SAHMRI), Ms Liddy Griffith (SAHMRI), Mr Andrew Stanley (SA NT DataLink), Professor Julie Ratcliffe (University of South Australia), Professor Andrew Beer (University of South Australia), Professor Karen Reynolds (Flinders University), Associate Professor Craig Whitehead (Flinders University), Professor Renuka Visvanathan (University of Adelaide), Professor Keith Evans (Silver Chain), Ms Megan Corlis (Helping Hand), Ms Amber Watt (ECH), Ms Jeanette Walters (SA Health), Ms Jane Mussared (Council on the Ageing; COTA SA), Ms Tracey Maynard (Country SA PHN), Mr Malcolm Ellis (Adelaide PHN), Ms Ellen Kerrins (Health Consumers Alliance South Australia; HCA SA).

Executive Committee

The ROSA Executive Committee has a membership of researchers (SAHMRI and University), industry partners and consumers.

Purpose: Direction, strategy and facilitation.

Current members: Professor Steve Wesselingh (Chair; SAHMRI), Professor Renuka Visvanathan (University of Adelaide), Professor Craig Whitehead (Flinders University), Ms Liddy Griffith (SAHMRI), Ms Megan Corlis (Helping Hand), Professor Keith Evans (Silver Chain), Marilyn von Thien (Consumer Representative), Penelope Lello (Consumer Representative).

 

Consumer and Community Committee

The ROSA Consumer and Community Committee has a membership of consumer representatives from the other ROSA governance committees, members from the wider community, representatives from the consumer advocacy organisations (COTA SA and HCASA), and SAHMRI researchers.

Purpose: Facilitate and advise on consumer engagement activities, involvement, and direction.

Research Committee

The ROSA Research Committee has a membership of researchers (SAHMRI and University), industry partners, data integrating authorities (SA NT DataLink and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare; AIHW) and consumer representatives.

Purpose: Review and make recommendations to the Steering Committee about study proposals.

Current members: Professor Julie Ratcliffe (Chair; University of South Australia), Dr Hossein Afzali (University of Adelaide), Professor Maria Crotty (Flinders University), Ms Amber Watt/Victoria Cornell (ECH), Mr Andrew Stanley (SA NT DataLink), Ms Anna Sheppeard (Consumer Representative), Ms Marjorie Schulze (Consumer Representative), Mr Mark Cooper-Stanbury (AIHW), Dr Azmeraw Amare (ROSA/SAHMRI).

 

Data Linkage/Analytics Committee

The ROSA Data Linkage/Analytics Committee has a membership of researchers (SAHMRI and University), industry partners, data integrating authorities (SA NT DataLink and the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare; AIHW) and consumer representatives.

Purpose: To facilitate and assist with the establishment of the Registry and reporting.
